The Touareg 2.5 TDi 171bhp variant is the base model diesel engine in the range. Using a Garrett VNT turbo and front mounted intercooler it provides for some solid performance even as standard. This engine is exactly half of that used in the Touareg 5.0 V10 so it?s evident of the tolerances available in this engine. For those who want more we can achieve more power than 228bhp from this engine. We develop all of our software on the rolling road to ensure accuracy in terms of both power delivery and also to ensure fuelling, boost pressures and exhaust gas temperatures are all within tolerance.
